Wingate, April 15 – Mrs. Lulu May Grenard, 80 years old, a resident of this community most of her life, died early today at the family home here. She had been in failing health several months and seriously ill four weeks with a heart ailment.  Born Feb 14, 1862 at Carlisle, Ind, the daughter of OC and Julia Hancock, she was married to JD Grenard of near Waynetown Feb 14, 1885.  Surviving are the husband, a nice, Oka Lee Meek of Plainville, Ohio and nephew, SF Jean of Parker, Ind.  A short funeral service will be held at the late residence at 12:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. CA Duncan of the Wingate Christian Church officiating. Following this service the body will be taken to Waynetown for services at the Waynetown Baptist Church of which the deceased was a member. The church rites will take place at 2:30 p.m. and will be in charge of the Rev. Gary Allbritien. The body will lie in state one hour preceding the rites and burial will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
